On the night of 7 December, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed seven enemy drones, including Iranian Shahed drones, which attacked from the south. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
Details of the attacks:
- Starting at 21:30 on 6 December, Russian troops struck Sumy region with an unidentified missile and launched 14 attack drones.
- The attacks were carried out from the area of Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.
Results of counteraction:
- Seven drones were shot down by units of anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare (EW) and mobile fire groups of the Air Force in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
- Six drones were lost in the area: their wreckage could not be identified.
- One of the drones left Ukrainian-controlled airspace in the direction of Russia.
Ukrainian forces continue to effectively counter air threats, including a new wave of kamikaze drones and other unmanned systems.
