The Ukrainian Defence Forces have intensified combat operations in Russia, attacking the enemy in the Kursk region. This was reported by Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office, and Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defence Council’s Disinformation Counteraction Centre.

Activity in several areas

On Telegram, Kovalenko noted that the attacks came as a surprise to the Russian military:

“In the Kursk region, the Russians are very worried because they were attacked on several fronts, and it was a surprise for them. The defence forces are working”.

The head of the President’s Office also commented on the situation:

“Kursk region, good news, Russia is getting what it deserves.”

Areas of attack

Russian sources report that active operations are being conducted from the direction of Velykyi Soldatske. This area has become a key target of the confrontation, which demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukrainian military operations.

The attacks on Russian territory reflect a new phase of the war, when the Ukrainian Defence Forces demonstrate the ability to operate not only on their own territory but also to respond asymmetrically to the enemy.

The situation in the Kursk region is causing panic among local residents and the Russian command. Propaganda resources are limited to general statements, without providing details on casualties and the consequences of the attacks.
