Ukrainian defenders continue to defend themselves in the Pokrovske direction, resisting the numerical superiority of Russian troops and preventing their attempts to develop an offensive. This was reported by the Khortytsia Operational Command on its Telegram channel.

Over the past day, Russian troops intensified their offensive in the vicinity of a number of localities, including Vodiane Druhe, Yelizavetivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Petropavlivka, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne and Yantarne. The fighting is particularly intense in Lysivka, Zelene, Shevchenko and Novovasylivka.

Losses and measures to stabilise the situation
Ukrainian forces lost some positions during enemy assaults and fire. However, the command reports that all possible measures are being taken to prevent the tactical situation from deteriorating.

“Our soldiers continue to heroically defend every metre of Ukrainian land, effectively countering the enemy’s offensive even in the face of their numerical superiority,” the statement said.
