President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with key government officials to discuss the state of domestic defence production, the implementation of contracts with international partners and the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces.

The Head of State announced this in his Telegram channel.

“I held a meeting on the defence sector: our own weapons production, agreements with partners, supplies for the Ukrainian army. We are analysing in detail the implementation of all contracts, agreements and investment projects,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the key performance indicators have been outlined, which will be used to assess the effectiveness of defence sector management at the end of the year. The President stressed that the number of Ukrainian weapons should increase, and this is one of the national security priorities.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, as well as representatives of the defence sector and government agencies responsible for controlling supplies, investment and logistics.
