Monday, 2 December 2024. The 423rd day of the Iron Swords war, which Israel is waging against terrorist organisations in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon and Syria, which began on 7 October 2023. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing Newsru.co.il.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) continues to maintain control over southern Lebanon and conducts operations in the northern, central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military is also active in Judea and Samaria.
Timeline of events on 2 December 2024
14:00
The IDF Command reported that over the past 24 hours, the Israeli military has repeatedly countered violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Hezbollah terrorist organisation. In particular, the operations took place in the evening of 1 December and in the morning of 2 December. The IDF attacked Hezbollah’s military vehicles and missile production infrastructure in the Bekaa Valley (eastern Lebanon), as well as facilities near the Syrian-Lebanese border in the Al-Harmal area.
Several Hezbollah terrorists were also killed in southern Lebanon. One of the allegations of a Lebanese soldier being wounded is currently under investigation.
In the north of the Gaza Strip, soldiers of the Kfir Brigade (162nd IDF Division) continue to clear Beit Lahiya and Jabalia. Over the past 24 hours, several terrorist groups were eliminated in these areas, mines were found in buildings and on troop routes, and a hidden launcher was discovered. In a number of cases, buildings had to be destroyed because they were mined.

An IDF drone attacks a motorcyclist in the Marjayoun area of southern Lebanon, reports Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Akhbar.

Lebanese sources reported that an Israeli drone launched three missile strikes in the area of Khush al-Sayyed Ali (Al-Harmal region, northern Lebanon).
Colonel Avihai Edrai, head of the IDF Arabic Spokesperson’s Office, called on Lebanese residents to refrain from moving south of a number of settlements, including Shebaa, Al-Habariya, Marjayoun, Arnoun, and not to return to some 50 villages in southern Lebanon, including An-Nakoura, Ramieh, Aytaroun and Yaroun.

Sources in Gaza report that the IDF is destroying houses in western Beit Lahiya.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health (run by Hamas) says 25 people were killed in a strike on a building on 1 December.

A massive explosion took place in the southern Gaza Strip, near Abasan. Hostilities were also recorded in the Al-Qaramah area in northwestern Gaza City.

Sources report that IDF artillery is shelling targets in the northern parts of the sector.

The IDF conducts operations in the central Nuseirat area. The night passed without any violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.

During the night, the IDF conducted operations in Judea and Samaria, in particular in Shechem, Qalqilya and Hebron. There have also been reports of active operations in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the Rafah, Nusairat and Jabalia areas.
Sources in Gaza report numerous artillery attacks and the destruction of booby-trapped buildings used by terrorists.
