22 January 2025, Wednesday. On the 474th day of the Iron Swords war, which Israel is waging against terrorist groups in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, major events are unfolding in Samaria and southern Lebanon. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing Newsru.co.il.
On 19 January, a ceasefire comes into effect in Gaza, but tensions remain high in other regions. On January 21, Israel launches a large-scale anti-terrorist operation in Jenin called “Iron Wall”. At the same time, the IDF continues to operate in southern Lebanon and maintains a “buffer zone” in Syria.

- According to the Palestinian Authority, more than 10 people were killed and more than 100 injured as a result of the Israeli military’s actions. About 600 residents were forced to leave their homes.

The significance of the operation and the international response
Operation Iron Wall is part of Israel’s broader efforts to eliminate the terrorist threat. The strengthening of security on the northern borders and in the Jenin region demonstrates the IDF’s determination to act against terrorists even in the most difficult conditions.
The ceasefire in Gaza remains in place, but actions on other fronts show that the war against terrorism is far from over.
