Massive attack by the occupiers: destruction in the regions of Ukraine

According to TimeUkraineIsrael, on the evening of 31 October, Russian troops launched a new wave of air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages. The invaders used guided aerial bombs, cruise missiles and Shahed-type kamikaze drones to attack Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa and other regions. The powerful air attack was yet another proof of Russia’s large-scale aggression against the civilian population of Ukraine.

Kyiv: a threat to the capital

At around 8pm, air raid warnings were sounded in Kyiv, and air defence systems were deployed to intercept Shahed drones. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Serhiy Popko, called on Kyiv residents to take shelter.

“Air raid alert continues! Kyiv – take shelter,” Serhiy Popko wrote, warning of the danger. Residents of the capital reported explosions on the outskirts of the city, which were shared on social media.

The Kharkiv region also came under attack when the occupiers used tactical aircraft to launch guided bomb attacks on the region. Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, confirmed the explosions and reported damage to civilian objects.

One of the hits was recorded in Dergachi, where a fire broke out at a private enterprise. Later, new waves of attacks on Kharkiv and the surrounding areas were reported.

Threat in the south: attack on Odesa region

At around 21:00, there were reports of Russian Su-57s taking off from the Akhtubinsk base, which posed a threat to the southern regions of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Odesa region after two guided missiles were launched towards Zatoka and Ochakiv. Gennadiy Trukhanov, the mayor of Odesa, urged residents to stay in shelters due to the threat of further attacks.

Poltava region: “Shakedowns in Poltava: private homes attacked by ‘Shakhty’

In the evening, there were reports of several powerful explosions in the Poltava region that started fires in the private sector. The Poltava Regional Military Administration confirmed that the region had been attacked by Shahed drones. Serhiy Pronin, the head of the Poltava JMA, urged local residents to stay in safe places.

“The enemy attacked Poltava region. Details will follow later,” he said.

General situation: dozens of regions are under threat

At the time of the attack, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the presence of dozens of Russian drones and missiles in the airspace over Dnipro, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions. Operational reports show that the threat of air strikes remains throughout the country.
