The active action units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in particular, “Artan”, “Kraken” and the International Legion, conducted a brilliant operation aimed at liberating a strategically important forest area in the north of Kharkiv region, near the village of Liptsi. This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s press service.
Success of Ukrainian intelligence officers
As a result of carefully planned actions, Ukrainian reconnaissance men managed to capture a battalion defence area of the enemy. During the operation, three motorised rifle battalions, a “Storm” detachment and a reconnaissance company of the 7th separate motorised rifle regiment of the 11th army corps of the Russian Federation Armed Forces were destroyed. This success was a clear indication of the efficiency and professionalism of the Ukrainian military.
Important trophies
During the assault, Ukrainian soldiers captured several Russian servicemen. This not only boosts the morale of the Ukrainian forces, but also opens up new opportunities for the return of our defenders from Russian captivity.
Difficult situation for the occupiers
The clearing of 400 hectares of forest significantly worsened the occupiers’ positions on this section of the frontline. After the operation, the situation of the aggressors became close to hopeless, which could lead to further expansion of Ukrainian control in the region.
Cooperation and minimal losses
The peculiarity of this operation was that the infantry of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter” suffered incomparably low losses, which indicates a high level of coordination between professional special forces and line units. This successful example of cooperation became the basis for the subsequent offensive.
Prospects for further ousting the occupiers
The successful DIU mission creates favourable conditions for further ousting the Russian occupiers from the north of Kharkiv region. Each victory brings Ukraine closer to the final liberation of its territories.
