As of 18 November 2024, the situation at the front remains tense. The Ukrainian Defence Forces are resolutely holding back the Russian occupiers’ offensive, inflicting significant losses on them. At the same time, the enemy continues to strike at peaceful Ukrainian towns and villages, unabated in its attempts to expand its control over the territory of Ukraine. As of 16:00, 87 combat engagements were recorded in various sectors. However, our defenders, despite numerous attacks, are actively resisting the enemy and holding important lines, according to the TimeUkraineIsrael portal, based on the materials of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Hot frontline areas:
1. Kurakhivske direction
The Kurakhove direction remains one of the most active. During the day, Russian troops carried out 23 attacks on the localities of Berestky, Sontsivka, Voznesenka, Dalne, Yelizavetivka and Antonivka. The enemy used heavy artillery and air strikes, in particular, dropping unmanned aerial vehicles on Romanivka and Dachne. However, our military did not allow the occupiers to advance, repelling six attacks and significantly reducing the enemy’s combat capabilities.
2. Pokrovske direction
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops made 17 attempts to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promenu, Lysivka, Petrivka, Pustynka and Novooleksiyivka. Thanks to the professionalism of the Ukrainian military, nine attacks were repelled, and seven are ongoing. Defence forces, despite numerous attacks, are not allowing the enemy to advance their positions.
3. Kharkiv direction
Kharkiv region remains under constant pressure from the occupiers. During the day, three attempts to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Vovchansk were recorded. The Russians also carried out air strikes on Kozachya Lopan, downing five UAVs. However, Ukrainian defenders are stubbornly holding the line and inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions seven times in the vicinity of Kruhliakivka and Lozove. Two engagements are still ongoing, and our soldiers are dealing heavy blows to the enemy. Despite the numerous attacks, the Ukrainian Defence Forces are holding important lines, repelling the enemy’s attempts to seize territory.

In the Lyman sector, enemy troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Novolyubivka and Bilohorivka twice. One clash has already ended, but the second is still ongoing. The enemy is actively using artillery and aviation to support its attacks, but our defenders are successfully resisting the enemy and holding back its advance.

In the Toretsk sector, Russians tried to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops with the support of air power. Konstantinovka came under attack from the KABs, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces reacted quickly and repelled the breakthrough attempt. The enemy suffered significant losses, but the fighting in this area continues.

7. 7. Vremivske direction
During the day, there were 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Trudove, Rozdolne, Makarivka, Rivne and Novodarivka. Seven firefights are still ongoing, and our troops are actively repelling the enemy’s offensive. The defence forces continue to hold back the enemy’s offensive, providing reliable protection.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops six times. Thanks to the coordinated actions of our soldiers, all attacks were repelled, and the enemy suffered significant losses.
The enemy’s response on their own territory
Today, the Russian air force conducted 15 strikes in the Kursk region, dropping 21 drones on its territory. This demonstrates the high level of panic and the inability of Russian troops to organise effective defence on their own soil.
General situation:
Despite the enemy’s enormous efforts, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to successfully deter aggression and inflict heavy losses on Russian troops. Every day on the frontline is a step towards our victory, and every battle brings us closer to the liberation of all occupied territories.
