As of 12 November 2024, the situation on the frontline remains tense. Russian occupants continue to intensify their attacks on Ukrainian positions, particularly in the east and south of the country. Over the last day, 110 combat engagements took place, with the greatest enemy activity recorded in the Kurakhove and Pokrovske sectors. The military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding firmly the defence, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers. Kharkiv region and Kupiansk: heroic resistance in the east
The situation in the Kharkiv region remains difficult as Russian troops continue to try to break through the defences. The enemy made four assaults in the Kharkiv sector near Vovchansk, but Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks. An important part of the defence is precise and effective air strikes against enemy positions. The enemy is also using air power, having attacked Liptsy and Vilcha.
In the Kupyansk sector, Russian occupants are actively advancing near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kruhlyakivka and Lozova, where five battles have already taken place. Ukraine maintains a high level of mobilisation, and Ukrainian troops are repelling the enemy, holding strategically important positions.
Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia: the hottest spots of hostilities
In the Kurakhove sector, combat actions continue unabated. Russian troops attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 41 times in the areas of Illinka, Novoselidivka, Voznesenka and other localities. The defence forces have already repelled 17 attacks, but the enemy continues to try to break through the defences. In the hottest spots of the fighting – near Illinka and Novoselidovka – Ukrainian defenders are showing great resilience, not allowing the enemy to pass.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the occupants carried out 24 attacks in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka and Hryhorivka. 13 of them have already been repelled, and nine battles are currently underway, in which Ukrainian troops are showing steadfast resistance.
Southern front: Orikhiv and Vremivka under constant pressure
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy continues its attacks, using artillery shelling and air strikes on the towns of Zaporizhzhia, Kamianske and other positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian troops maintain control over the situation, repelling the enemy and preventing it from advancing deeper into the territory.
In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy attempted nine times to attack Ukrainian positions near Rivne, Novodarivka and Trudove. The Ukrainian defence forces continue to deter these attacks, trying to prevent any breakthroughs. In addition, such settlements as Temyrivka, Zelene Pole and Velyka Novosilka came under constant attacks by enemy aircraft.
Other areas: activity in the east and south
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks. The Russians conducted eight more air strikes on their territory, dropping 11 guided aerial bombs. The situation in this area is now stable, but Ukrainian defenders remain prepared for new attacks. There were no significant changes in other areas of the frontline.
In general, the Ukrainian military remains resilient and ready for further combat operations, continuing to repel the attacks of Russian invaders on all fronts.
