Today, the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, unexpectedly made a statement ahead of schedule. Initially, his speech was scheduled for 17:00, but the events of the last hours forced him to speak earlier. Nasrallah strongly condemned the liquidation in Dahiya, calling it an “act of aggression”.

“What happened in Dahiya is not just liquidation, but an act of aggression. The enemy struck many civilians. The enemy considered aggression against the suburbs as a response, but we do not agree with this assessment and description, it is aggression and part of the Zionist-American war against the peoples of the region,” Nasrallah said.

He also again rejected accusations that his fighters were involved in a rocket attack on a children’s stadium in Majdal Shams, which killed 14 people. Nasrallah emphasized that Hezbollah had other goals. “We deny our involvement in what happened in Majdal Shamsi and were ready to admit the mistake if it was our fault. Our internal investigation shows that we have nothing to do with this incident,” said the head of Hezbollah.

In addition, Nasrallah expressed deep sadness over the assassination of the head of the Hamas politburo, Ismail Haniya, calling this event a heavy blow to Hezbollah. He stated that the movement “will take part in a new phase of the war with Israel,” since Hamas is also part of the “axis of resistance.”

“We are not surprised and will not be surprised by any price we have to pay in this conflict. We are waging an open war on all fronts: in Gaza, South Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Iran, which is entering a new stage,” Nasrallah added.

According to Nasrallah, Hezbollah is now considering a “real and calculated” response to the killing of Fuad Shukr. Despite the loss of commanders, the organization has not lost its fighting capacity and has new leaders ready to take over.

Much, according to him, will depend on Israel’s reaction to the actions of the “axis of resistance”. However, according to Nasrallah, the only way to prevent a large-scale escalation is to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
