Over the past few weeks, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have been conducting a series of targeted operations south of Lebanon, striking Hezbollah terrorist cells, killing terrorists and dismantling their infrastructure. Troops of the 9th Reserve Brigade conducted limited local raids, relying on accurate intelligence, during which they discovered numerous weapons caches and other facilities related to terrorist activities. This was reported by TimeUkraineIsrael with reference to the IDF’s official telegram channel.
Detection of a terrorist training centre
One of the biggest achievements of these raids was the discovery of a Hezbollah training centre located just 200 metres from a UN peacekeeping base in southern Lebanon. The centre was used for training and as a warehouse for a large number of weapons, including rocket launchers, which were ready for use in attacks on Israeli settlements.
Seizure of important documents and equipment
The operation also uncovered important documents and training materials detailing Hezbollah’s strategies and tactics. Among the materials found were maps of Israeli territories, instructions for the use of IDF equipment, and plans for underground tunnels and shelters.
These documents and materials indicate a high degree of organisation and training of terrorist groups operating in southwestern Lebanon. All found weapons were confiscated and the facility was completely destroyed.
Operation IDF: Fighting terrorism to ensure security
This discovery once again underscores the importance of Israel’s ongoing fight against terrorism on its southern border. The IDF continues to dismantle terrorist cells, providing reliable protection not only for Israel but also for the stability of the entire region.
