Detecting terrorist weapons among toys
The forces of the 91st Division of the IDF continue a large-scale operation against the Hezbollah terrorist organisation in southern Lebanon, destroying key infrastructure and eliminating enemy militants. According to the Israeli Defence Forces, on the night of 3 November, an assault group of the 769th Brigade conducted an operation in a village in the border area, where they discovered an arsenal hidden in a children’s room in a residential building. Next to children’s toys were rockets, portable launchers, grenades, Kalashnikovs, sniper rifles and other military equipment. Documents belonging to Hezbollah militants were also found in the house. Continuation of the Al-Hiyya operation and elimination of Hezbollah commanders
For the first time, the Israeli Defence Forces have officially confirmed that its units are operating in the village of Al-Khiyam, which is the northernmost point of the ground operation zone in southern Lebanon. As part of these actions, IDF soldiers killed Farouk Amin al-Ashi, the commander of Hezbollah’s strategic fortification, who was directly responsible for rocket attacks on northern Israel.
In addition, a company commander of a Hezbollah special forces unit, Yousef Ahmed Noon, who was involved in planning and carrying out shelling of Israeli territory, was neutralised in the same region.
