The Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted a precision strike on a building in Nabatiyeh, South Lebanon, killing Mustafa Ahmed Shhada, deputy commander of the elite Radwan unit, TimeUkraineIsrael reports citing Israelinfo.
According to IDF spokesperson for the Arabic-speaking audience Avihai Adrai, Shhadi led Hezbollah forces in Syria during the civil war from 2012 to 2017, and in recent years has been training the Radwan unit for operations in Israel. His command focused on preparing the Radwan forces to infiltrate Israeli border settlements and seize kibbutzim.
The IDF has expressed a clear intention to continue to destroy Hezbollah terrorists and their commanders. In response, the newly elected Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said that the blood of the fallen leaders would only strengthen the organisation’s resolve to continue the confrontation.
