18 October, 2024 – The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has announced the call-up of an additional brigade of reservists to perform combat missions on the northern front. This decision was made based on an ongoing assessment of the situation, which requires strengthening the Israeli army on the border with Lebanon.
The mobilisation of reservists will be an important component in maintaining intense hostilities against the Hizbullah terrorist organisation, which continues to pose a security threat to Israel’s northern territories. The IDF press service emphasises that these measures will not only allow for the continuation of military operations, but will also help to ensure the strategic goals of the conflict.
