The Israeli army announced on Wednesday evening that it had hit more than 2,000 Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanon over the past three days, as cross-border exchanges between the Lebanese Islamist group and Israeli forces have intensified. In response to continued rocket fire from Hezbollah, Israel has significantly escalated its military operations in the region.

“We conducted several hundred airstrikes in Lebanon today. Over the last three days, we struck more than 2,000 Hezbollah terrorist targets,” Israeli army spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said during a press conference.

Additionally, Israel reported hitting 60 intelligence-related targets belonging to Hezbollah. According to the Israeli military, these strikes destroyed intelligence-gathering equipment, command centers, and other infrastructure used by the group for launching attacks on Israeli territory.

As tensions between Lebanon and Israel continue to rise, the situation on the northern border sparks growing concerns about further escalation of the conflict.
