Russian troops continue to try to penetrate the territory of Ukraine, but the Defence Forces are confidently holding back the aggressor, inflicting significant losses. As of today, the number of enemy attacks has increased to 73, with the most intense fighting taking place in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions, where about 60% of all clashes took place. This is reported by TimeUkraineIsrael with reference to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Situation in the border areas
The border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions are once again suffering from Russian artillery shelling. The settlements of Myropillya, Novooleksandrivka, Bunyakyne and Velyka Pysarivka were affected. In addition, the Russian occupiers used guided aerial bombs on Bilovody and Kindrativka.
Fighting in different directions
Active defence continues in the Kharkiv sector. The occupants stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops near Starytsia and Vovchansk, but all attacks were repelled. Fighting also continues in the Kupyansk sector, where the invaders tried to break through to Pishchane and Lozova six times.
In the Liman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Hrekivka and Terniv. A fierce battle is also ongoing in the vicinity of Torske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants are conducting assault operations near Vasyukivka, launching air strikes on Chasovyi Yar, and in the Toretsk sector, the enemy attacked the Druzhba area with unguided missiles.
The most tense areas: Pokrovske and Kurakhove
The Pokrovske sector remains the epicentre of hostilities. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has made 26 attempts to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the areas of Selydove and Mirolyubivka. However, all attacks were successfully repelled, and Ukrainian troops inflicted significant losses on the aggressor.
In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy tried to break through the defences near Hirnyk and Antonivka 15 times. The fighting continues with high intensity.
In the Vremivsk sector, the occupiers are trying to advance to Bohoyavlenka, but are facing serious resistance from Ukrainian defenders.
Attacks in other areas
Hostile air strikes were also recorded in the Orikhivsk sector, where Mala Tokmachka was hit, and a firefight continues in the Prydniprovsky sector, where Ukrainian troops are successfully holding the line.
Ukraine’s defence forces are demonstrating extraordinary resilience and are effectively repelling the occupiers’ attacks. The support of the military remains critical to the ongoing fight.
Glory to Ukraine!
