Wednesday, 23 October 2024, is the 383rd day of the Iron Swords War, which Israel is waging against terrorist organisations in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, as well as Judea and Samaria. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) continue active combat operations, in particular, striking military targets in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. The IDF air force is attacking Hezbollah weapons depots located among civilian objects, and a ground operation in southern Lebanon is underway. The “Tzeva Adom” alert has been issued again in the Haifa and Acre areas. Sirens were heard in Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Yam.
12:00
Alert in Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas. Sirens also sounded in Metulah near the border with Lebanon, and rocket fire was reported.
11:00
Alarms were sounded in Misgav Am, Kiryat Shmona, Tel Hai, Kfar Yuval and Kfar Gilad near the Lebanese border. The IDF reports that about 25 rockets were fired from Lebanon, some of which were intercepted, but damage was reported as a result of several rockets falling.

Rocket fire continues in Manarah and Margaliot, near the Lebanese border. During a drone incursion from Lebanon, the IDF intercepted four drones, one of which was shot down near Yokneam.

IDF strikes Hezbollah targets in Jabaliya, Beit Hanoun and other areas of northern Gaza. Khalil Muhammad Amaz, the head of the Hezbollah information centre responsible for preparing UAV launches, is killed.

Tzevah Adom sirens sounded again in Metul, Kfar Gilad and Misgav Am. A drone was spotted in the skies over Israel and shot down by IDF air defence.

During the fighting in Jabaliya, the IDF 162nd Division killed dozens of Hamas militants and evacuated tens of thousands of civilians to safe areas.

On the night of 23 October, the IDF attacked targets in southern Lebanon. Underground infrastructures and about 70 Hezbollah militants were destroyed.

Israel intercepted two drones flying from Syria in the Eilat area. There was no threat to civilians, so the alert was not activated.

IDF artillery continues to shell targets in Jabaliya, Beit Lahiya and other areas of Gaza. In addition, special operations were carried out in Qalqilya and other towns, where the IDF detained suspected terrorists.
Israel’s ongoing military operation against terrorist organisations in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria continues to gain momentum. The IDF is effectively intercepting drones and killing key field commanders, while simultaneously conducting precision strikes on terrorist targets. However, Hezbollah does not stop its attacks, forcing Israel to continue to increase its military operations to ensure the safety of its citizens.
