Saturday, 16 November 2024, is the 407th day of the Iron Swords war, which Israel has been waging against terrorist groups in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon, and Syria since 7 October 2023. According to TimeUkraineIsrael, citing Newsru.co.il, intensive operations by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) continue throughout the day to neutralise threats from Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies.

An air alert was sounded in the Galilee, in the Haifa Bay area and on the border with Lebanon. Among the settlements where the alert was announced: Ya’ar, Hanita, Metsuba, Avdon, Arab al-Aramsha, Idmit, Eilon, Goren, Ben Ami, Nagariya, Sa’ar, Gesher a-Ziv, Liman.

About 20 rockets are fired from Lebanon into the Western Galilee in a few minutes.

The IDF announced the interception of four drones launched from Lebanon. Colonel Avihai Edrai, an IDF spokesman in Arabic, addressed residents of the Dahiya area (a suburb of Beirut), urging them to evacuate. “Tzevah Adom” signals were heard on Bezet beach, in the Miluot industrial zone, and in the settlements of Rosh a-Nikra, Liman, Gesher a-Ziv, Nagariya, and Sa’ar.

Lebanese sources reported that the IAF struck two targets in Labayeh in eastern Lebanon (Bekaa Valley). In Gaza, IDF artillery shelled targets in the area of al-Saftawi, northwest of Gaza City.

Terrorist groups mostly stop shelling Israel at night. The last air alert near the border with Gaza was recorded on 13 November at 18:10, and near the border with Lebanon on 15 November at 22:53.
