Friday, 20 December 2024, is the 441st day of the Iron Swords War, which Israel launched on 7 October 2023 against terrorist groups in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon and Syria.

This is reported by Time Ukraine Israel portal, citing Newsru.co.il.

The IDF maintains control over the southern regions of Lebanon, the “buffer zone” in Syria, and is actively conducting operations in Judea and Samaria.

Chronology of events

00:00-03:00

  • IDF airstrikes in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza claim the lives of at least six people.
  • Several suspected terrorists were detained in Kalkilya, Birzeit and Shema.
  • Several buildings were blown up in Bait Lahiya; artillery continued to fire at targets in the centre of the Gaza Strip.

04:00-07:00

  • IDF shells targets in al-Bureij, Khan Younis and Jabaliya districts.
  • Air strikes were carried out on strategic targets in Rafah and Zaytun.
  • Four people were reported killed in Jabaliya as a result of precision strikes.

08:00-11:00

  • Artillery attacks positions in Jabaliya and Bait Lahiya. Important infrastructure facilities were destroyed in Zaytun.
  • Four suspects were detained overnight in Judea and Samaria, and five weapons were confiscated. Over the course of the week, about one million shekels were seized, which were to be used to finance terrorist activities.

Events in Gaza
Since the beginning of the day, the Israeli Air Force and artillery have carried out a series of powerful strikes on targets in Gaza, including buildings, infrastructure and terrorist military depots. Helicopters shelled positions in the eastern part of Jabaliya, while quadcopters struck in Jabaliya al-Balad.

Judea and Samaria
The IDF conducted a large-scale operation in several settlements, including Samua, Halhul and Silat al-Harithiya. Relatives of a suspected terrorist were detained in Shema and Rujib.

The situation in Lebanon and Syria
In southern Lebanon and the buffer zone of Syria, the IDF continues to control the situation, preventing terrorist attacks.

  • Gaza Strip: 19 December at 15:31.
  • Lebanon: 6 December at 10:56 (false alarm).

Israel continues to strengthen security in the region, using all possible means to eliminate threats.
