Sunday, 26 January 2025. Israel is continuing its “Iron Swords” war against terrorist groups in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. This struggle has been going on since 7 October 2023. The Time Ukraine Israel portal, citing Newsru.co.il, reports on the key events of this day.
Gaza ceasefire and escalation in Jenin
On 19 January 2025, a ceasefire came into effect in Gaza, which remains in force today. However, on 21 January, Operation Iron Wall was launched in Jenin to dismantle terrorist infrastructure.

IDF forces continued operations in Judea and Samaria, particularly in Jenin and the Qasra area. An explosives laboratory was destroyed in Jenin. - 07:00
The Israeli military fired warning shots in the Gaza Strip in the area of the Netzarim axis. - 08:00-12:00
Lebanese sources report numerous injuries among civilians in the villages of Kfar Kila, Hula, Burj al-Mulouk and other areas due to Israeli shelling. A young man died in Jenin after being wounded during clashes with the IDF. - 13:00
IDF confirms air strikes on terrorists in Balata camp (Shechem). In Gaza, a teenager was wounded in a strike in the Nuseirat area. - 15:00
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reports 15 dead and more than 80 wounded in the south of the country as a result of Israeli shelling.
Tensions in Lebanon
In southern Lebanon, provocations by Hezbollah are becoming more frequent. The organisation is demanding that Israel complete the withdrawal of its forces in accordance with the ceasefire agreement. In response, the IDF has tightened its control over the region.
The Iron Swords War
On 7 October 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, killing more than a thousand civilians and taking 251 hostages. As of 26 January 2025, 87 people are still in captivity.
This war remains a symbol of Israel’s struggle for the security of its citizens, despite the large-scale losses and humanitarian crisis in the region.
