Key solutions for strengthening defence
At the last meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, important decisions were made to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities. The focus was on air defence, which remains one of the top priorities in the context of Russia’s constant attacks. In particular, it was decided to increase the number of mobile fire groups (MFG) in the regions that are priority targets for Russian terrorist attacks. These measures are aimed at strengthening defence and preventing enemy attacks, especially in the most vulnerable regions of Ukraine. The decisions regarding the expansion of the IWG are part of a broader strategy to improve the country’s readiness and security.
A new programme to counter Russian CABs and technology development
The report at the meeting also included a comprehensive plan to combat Russian aerial bomb systems (ABS), which pose one of the biggest threats to Ukrainian cities and strategic facilities. Promising technological solutions were announced that would significantly improve the effectiveness of air defence. Among other things, much attention was paid to the development of Ukrainian guided aerial bombs, which will reduce dependence on external suppliers and significantly increase defence capabilities.
This will be an important step in ensuring Ukraine’s autonomy in the production of high-tech weapons.
Strengthening key areas and new solutions at the frontline
Special attention should be paid to the reports on the most important frontline areas, in particular Kurakhove and Pokrovske. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on strategic decisions to strengthen these areas of the frontline. This includes the creation of additional units and strengthening of defensive positions, which will effectively counter possible enemy attacks.
Defence in Kursk Region: Deterring the Enemy
The importance of the situation in the Kursk region was also stressed, where the Ukrainian military continues to effectively contain the enemy group. Almost 50,000 Russian troops are stationed in this part of the frontline, and thanks to the resolute actions of Ukrainian units, these forces continue to be outside Ukraine.
The decisions taken at the meeting underline a comprehensive approach to strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities. This includes not only strengthening defence in key areas, but also developing new technologies to fight the enemy. All of these steps are aimed at ensuring Ukraine’s security and sovereignty, despite the constant threats from Russia.
