The press service of the General Staff of Ukraine reported adjustments to the total losses of Russian troops based on new intelligence. Certain items, such as the loss of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), tactical missiles and aircraft, have been clarified. Despite the changes in the overall figures, daily data on the occupier’s losses are presented as usual.
The total combat losses of the Russian Army from 24 February 2022 to 9 October 2024 are estimated at:
- The number ofpersonnel is about 664,120 (+1150 over the last day).
- Tanks – 8944 units (+4).
- Armoured combat vehicles – 17,751 units (+11).
- Artillery systems – 19,222 units (+19).
- Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS ) – 1, 223 units (unchanged).
- Air def ence systems – 973 units (unchanged).
- Aircraft – 369 units (unchanged).
- Helicopters – 328 units (unchanged).
- Operational and tactical drones – 16,718 units (+31).
- Cruise missiles – 2618 units (unchanged).
- Ships and boats – 28 units (unchanged).
- Submarines – 1 unit (unchanged).
- Motor vehicles and tankers – 26,240 units (+55).
- Special equipment – 3385 units (+12).
This data is indicative and subject to revision.
The General Staff of Ukraine calls for continued resistance to Russian aggression and emphasises: “Beat the occupier! We will win together!”
