As early as the morning of 12 October, Ukrainian defenders came under serious pressure from Russian aggressors. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that as of 16:00, 94 combat engagements were recorded, with the highest intensity of fighting observed in the Kurakhove direction.
Problem areas
Kupyansk sector: Russian occupants carried out ten attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Stepova, Novoselivka, Lozova, Pishchane, Vyshneve and Myasozharivka, with seven engagements still ongoing.
In the Liman sector, the enemy carried out eleven attacks near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove and Torske, but the situation is under control.
Northern sector: The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Verkhnekamianske, Ivan-Daryivka and Vyymka, where two battles are still ongoing.
Kramatorsk sector: Eight clashes took place in the areas of Kalynivka, Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky.
Toretsk direction: Supported by bomber aircraft, the enemy tried nine times to force Ukrainian units out of their positions in Toretsk and Petrivka, but were rebuffed.
Pokrovske direction: The occupants conducted 14 attacks in Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar and Mykhailivka, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully restrained the offensive, repelling 13 attacks, including an ongoing battle near Selydove.
Kurakhivka direction: The enemy attacked 32 times in the direction of Izmailivka, Hirnyk, Kurakhivka, Zhelanne Druha, Tsukurine, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka, but half of these attempts were stopped. The most intense fighting continues near Katerynivka.
Vremivske direction: Here, the aggressor tried to storm our positions near Bohoyavlenka once, but the attack was repelled.
Orikhivske direction: One attack was successfully contained in the vicinity of Robotyne.
General operational situation
In other areas, the situation remained unchanged, but tensions remain high. Ukrainian troops continue to actively repel attacks and counterattack.
