Last night, on 10 October, the Ukrainian Defence Forces successfully attacked an important military facility – Khanskaya airfield in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. In particular, an ammunition depot located on the territory of the base came under fire. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, and the active operation of the Russian air defence system was confirmed. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the time of the strike, the airfield was home to Su-34 and Su-27 aircraft used by the Russian military to conduct combat operations against Ukraine. Information on the extent of damage and enemy losses is currently being clarified.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The coordination of all units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again demonstrates high efficiency and coherence in strikes on critical military targets in Russia.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasise that attacks on important targets of the Russian armed forces will continue, as this is an integral part of the strategy to weaken the enemy.
