Ukrainian forces strike russian air defense systems and key targets, repel 189 attacks on the frontline

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully targeted critical Russian military assets over the past day, including an air defense system, an artillery gun, a personnel concentration area, a radar station, and other key enemy positions. This was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on October 1.

A total of 189 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline within the past 24 hours. Ukraine’s rocket forces and artillery delivered precise strikes, destroying key components of Russian military infrastructure.

The enemy continues heavy shelling, launching four missile strikes, 74 air raids, and 4,694 artillery attacks in the past day. Russian forces have intensified their air assaults, particularly targeting Ukrainian positions in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attempted 16 assaults but were repelled by Ukrainian forces. Across other areas, including Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk, Ukrainian defenders successfully thwarted numerous attacks, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

The situation remains particularly intense in the Pokrovsk direction, where 43 enemy assaults were recorded. The heaviest concentration of attacks was near Selidove, where Ukrainian forces repelled over 20 enemy attempts.

Russian troops also launched several offensives in the Kurakhiv direction, but Ukrainian defenders countered 31 attacks.

Despite increased Russian storming and bombing operations in the Vremivka and Orikhiv sectors, Ukrainian forces continue to hold their ground, inflicting heavy losses on the invaders.
