Ukraine has taken a huge step in developing its military power by preparing to deploy the latest Grom-2 ballistic missile, which could be a decisive factor in repelling external aggression. According to The Telegraph, this missile is capable of reaching even Moscow, symbolising a significant breakthrough in Ukraine’s military technology.

“The Grom-2, a single-stage solid-fueled missile, can carry a warhead weighing up to 500 kg over a range of 500 km. This far exceeds the capability of the previously used Tochka missile, which dates back to the 1970s. The development of the Grom-2 took more than a decade, but the project really accelerated after the conflict escalated in 2022.

According to Yegor Chernev, head of the Ukrainian delegation to NATO, the missile is almost ready for use. “Believe me, soon there will be concrete results that will be seen not only by Ukraine but also by the Russian Federation,” – he said, hinting at the upcoming strengthening of Ukraine’s military capabilities.

This development of technology not only increases Ukraine’s defence potential, but is also important in the context of a global deterrence strategy. It is known that the plans include not only domestic production of missiles, but also a potential increase in the arsenal through international support, including the transfer of Tomahawk missiles from the United States, as announced in President Zelenskyy’s “Victory Plan”.

These steps reflect Ukraine’s strategic vision of strengthening its defence capabilities and underline the importance of responding to the current challenges posed by the ongoing conflict.
