In the context of the ongoing Russian terror in Ukraine, the issue of strengthening the air defence system has risen to the top of the agenda. The President of Ukraine highlighted this in his recent Telegram address, stressing that the country must make every effort to protect its citizens.
Military threat: why is it important to respond urgently?
Since the beginning of the conflict, Russia has regularly carried out air strikes on Ukrainian cities, in particular on critical infrastructure. Such attacks result not only in significant material damage but also in civilian casualties. This makes strengthening the air defence system not just a matter of security, but a matter of survival for millions of Ukrainians.

The President emphasised the need for active actions on the part of large countries that have modern weapons systems. It is necessary that these weapons do not remain in warehouses or storage, but are used to protect people. The supply of modern air defence systems, such as Patriot and others, must become a reality, not just a promise.

Strengthening Ukraine’s air defence is not only about protecting infrastructure, but also about preventing civilian casualties. The more air defence systems that can operate effectively, the fewer opportunities the enemy will have to strike. It is important that the support of international partners is not only moral but also material, with the provision of the necessary technology and training for the Ukrainian military.
Now, more than ever, Ukraine needs action to help stop Russian terror. Strengthening the air defence system will not only enhance the country’s defence, but will also demonstrate the resolve of the international community in the fight for freedom and life. Every day of delay can cost innocent lives, and only active action can change this situation for the better.
