Foreign ministers of 21 countries of the Islamic world have called for an immediate end to Israel’s aggression against Iran, a reduction in tensions and a ceasefire.
This was reported by NTV.

As noted, these statements came amid a rapid escalation of the conflict in the region after a series of Israeli strikes on Iran on the night of 13 June.

According to the TV channel, Israel’s massive attacks were aimed at both nuclear facilities in different cities of Iran and at senior commanders of the country’s armed forces. As a result of these strikes, several leaders of the Iranian army and 9 leading Iranian nuclear scientists were killed.

In total, according to NTV, the number of civilian casualties in Iran has reached 224.

In response, Iran launched missile strikes on Israeli territory, killing 24 people and injuring more than 500 others, according to the latest data.

Against this backdrop, the foreign ministers of 21 Muslim and Arab states issued a series of statements calling for a halt to further escalation and the resumption of the diplomatic process.

Earlier, a number of international organisations warned that the continuation of hostilities could have catastrophic consequences for the entire Middle East region.
