TEHRAN – Iranian President Massoud Paezeshkian has announced his administration’s intention to strengthen relations with all countries of the world, stressing that a meeting with the United States in the framework of regional and international negotiations is inevitable. This is reported by TimeUkraineIsrael portal with reference to the Iranian Tasnim News agency.

During a meeting with former Iranian foreign ministers in Tehran, Peseshkian stressed the importance of a balance between internal development and an active foreign policy. He noted that in order to solve the country’s economic and political problems, it is necessary not only to strengthen the internal order, but also to restore international relations. This will help ease tensions in the region and create favourable conditions for cooperation.

The need for a meeting with the US

The Iranian president pointed to the importance of strategic transparency in foreign affairs and stressed that a meeting with the United States was inevitable, both regionally and internationally. He stated: “We have to prepare ourselves for the fact that even with the US, whether we want to or not, we will eventually have to engage in dialogue on many fronts. Therefore, it is better for us to manage this process ourselves rather than wait.”

The Iranian leader reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to Iran’s traditional policy based on pragmatism and readiness to cooperate with international partners, including the United States, when necessary for the common good.

Efforts towards European relations

Pesekian also stressed the importance of developing relations with European countries, noting that negotiations with them continue despite the difficulties caused by the actions of the “Zionist regime”. The President pointed out that Israel’s recent actions have become a serious obstacle to a stable dialogue between Iran and Europe. However, he stated that Iran will not retreat from its policy of expanding international relations and will remain open to constructive cooperation.

Conclusions and prospects

The Iranian President reaffirmed that his administration is committed to continuing the course of peace and development in international relations. In his speech, he stressed the importance of an active foreign policy to ensure the country’s stability and prosperity. The meeting with the United States, as well as talks with European partners, is an important part of Iran’s strategy, which includes expanding diplomatic contacts and reducing global tensions.
