Britain and Norway hand over $588 million in military aid to Ukraine

Ukraine is to receive a major new military aid package worth £450 million (approximately $588 million), the UK government has announced.

350 million pounds is provided by the UK itself, and the rest is provided by Norway through the International Fund for Ukraine, which operates under British leadership.

What Ukraine will get:

160 million pounds for the repair and maintenance of equipment previously provided by the UK. These are joint projects between British companies and Ukrainian industry.

250+ million pounds for new weapons:

  • Radar systems
  • Anti-tank mines
  • Thousands of FPV drones from manufacturers in the UK and Ukraine.

“2025 is a critical year for Ukraine. We have to provide our soldiers with everything they need to deter Russian aggression,” said British Defence Secretary John Healey at the Ramstein meeting in Brussels.

In total, in 2025, the UK plans to allocate £4.5 billion for military support to Ukraine, a record amount for a full-scale war.
