British Prime Minister Keir Starmer strongly condemned Russia’s missile attack on the city of Sumy, saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin must agree to a full and immediate ceasefire without conditions.

“I am shocked by Russia’s horrific attacks on civilians in Sumy, and my thoughts are with the victims and their families at this tragic time,” Starmer wrote on social media site X.

According to him, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has demonstrated a desire for peace, so now the responsibility lies with Putin. This statement was made against the backdrop of a new wave of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, which resulted in civilian casualties.

The UK has traditionally been one of Ukraine’s key allies in the war against Russian aggression.
