The Chinese Embassy in Israel has called on Chinese citizens to leave the country as soon as possible amid a sharp deterioration in the security situation due to the escalation of the confrontation with Iran. This is stated in an urgent announcement of the diplomatic mission, published on the Chinese social network WeChat.
“As the Israeli-Iranian conflict continues to escalate, many civilian objects in Israel have been damaged and the number of civilian casualties is rising, making the security situation even more difficult,” the statement said.
The diplomats said that in recent days, many Chinese citizens have approached the embassy with questions about the possibility of resuming flights to China. However, according to diplomats, the opening of Israeli airspace is not expected in the near future.
Instead, the embassy recommends that citizens use land crossings to Egypt and Jordan, which are currently open.
“The Chinese Embassy in Israel reminds Chinese citizens to leave Israel as soon as possible through the land border crossings to ensure their own safety and recommends that they give priority to moving to Jordan,” the statement said.
