The Russian army is facing critical problems in the field of medical support, which leads to significant delays in the evacuation of the wounded and an increase in the mortality rate among soldiers. This is reported by the UK Ministry of Defence, citing intelligence data.
Problems with medical support
According to British intelligence, the lack of armoured vehicles for evacuation and the constant threat of strikes by Ukrainian drones slow down the delivery of the wounded from the battlefield. This leads to complications in the treatment of injuries and increases the number of fatalities among soldiers.
In addition, the UK Ministry of Defence stressed that the scale of losses continues to put pressure on the Russian military medical system. Logistical problems, insufficient medical staff and general disorganisation are exacerbating the crisis.
Rebellion of the wounded in Novosibirsk
Additional confirmation of the difficult situation came from the Russian independent media outlet Astra News. In Novosibirsk, dozens of wounded soldiers from the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District staged a riot due to the terrible conditions of medical care. The soldiers damaged barracks, broke windows, and ten people left the complex. The soldiers complained about the ill-treatment of their commanders and refused to return to the front line without proper medical care.
Military losses
According to the General Staff of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 700,000 people, including about 500,000 who were wounded. Such large-scale losses increase the burden on medical infrastructure and create a chronic shortage of resources.
Forecasts for the future
According to British intelligence, the problems in the Russian military medical system will continue for at least the next three months, which will have long-term consequences for the combat capabilities of the Russian forces.
