US President-elect Donald Trump has already arrived in Washington, DC, where he visited his golf club and took part in a fireworks celebration. His inaugural speech will focus on unity, strength and justice, the politician said in an interview with NBC News.
Trump has announced that in his first week in office he will sign a record number of executive orders addressing the country’s most pressing problems. In particular, he plans to:
- Start deporting illegal immigrants, focusing on expelling criminals from the United States. “It will start very early, very quickly,” he said.
- Visit Los Angeles to assess the impact of large-scale forest fires.
Trump also confirmed that his administration could postpone the ban on TikTok in the US for 90 days. “We are considering this option, and it may be appropriate,” he said.
Donald Trump’s inauguration will take place in the coming days, and his first actions as president are aimed at addressing key domestic policy issues.
