Drones attack oil refinery in Ufa, Russia

At night, drones attacked one of the country’s largest oil refineries in the Russian city of Ufa. This was reported by the head of the National Security and Defence Council’s Disinformation Counteraction Centre, Andriy Kovalenko.

According to him, the Ufa refinery is a strategic facility that is part of a group of companies that supply fuel to the Russian army. The complex, which consists of several enterprises, has a capacity of about 20 million tonnes of oil per year.

Bashkortostan, where the plant is located, is one of the five largest oil refining regions in Russia. The company’s products include aviation and diesel fuel, as well as lubricants used for military equipment.

Official Russian authorities have not yet commented on the attack. Details on the extent of the damage are being clarified.
