Fire in a restaurant in the Czech Republic: Six people killed

A tragic fire in a restaurant in the city of Most in the north-western Czech Republic claimed the lives of six people. The incident occurred on Saturday, 11 January, at 23:17. The flames spread very quickly, and by the time firefighters arrived, the building was completely engulfed in flames.

According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by a gas heater that had overturned. Thirty people were evacuated from the restaurant and a nearby residential building. However, despite the efforts of the rescuers, six people could not be saved.

An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
