The American company Google has officially presented the latest video generation tool with sound – Veo 3. According to CNBC, the new product is a direct competitor to OpenAI’s Sora development, but it has a key difference – the ability to create not only images but also sound.
The company emphasised that Veo 3 is capable of generating audio, including human dialogue, as well as animal and environmental sounds, which opens up new horizons for film production, advertising, and educational videos.
The tool is already available in the US for users of the Ultra subscription plan ($249.99 per month).
Other new products from Google
In addition to Veo 3, Google presented:
- Imagen 4 is a new AI-powered image generator that delivers higher quality images based on text prompts from the user.
- Flow is a tool for creating cinematic videos by describing locations and styles. This solution is aimed at content creators looking for simple ways to visualise complex ideas.
Analysts note that Google is actively increasing competition in the generative AI market, especially in the multimedia content segment. Veo 3 can become a powerful tool in video production, expanding the capabilities of content makers around the world.
