Following the US air strikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including the Fordow facility, experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have not recorded any increase in radiation levels outside the attacked areas. This was reported by the agency itself on Twitter.
“Following the attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran – including Fordow – the IAEA can confirm that no increase in radiation levels outside the facilities has been recorded so far,” the statement said.
The IAEA also said that it will continue to monitor the situation and provide an updated assessment based on new data coming out of the region.
This statement comes amid a serious escalation of tensions between the US and Iran, which arose after a large-scale air strike, during which, according to CNN sources, GBU-57A/B bombs designed to destroy protected underground facilities were used.
