The Supreme Court of Belarus made a decision according to which the formation of the “Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment” as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was recognized as a terrorist organization. This happened according to the statement of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, which indicates the growing tension between the Lukashenko regime and Ukrainian volunteers who are fighting for the freedom and independence of their country. This is reported by “Ukrainian Pravda“.
The basis of the decision
According to the statements of representatives of the Belarusian authorities, “Kalinovsky Regiment” allegedly has connections with extremist elements that plan and carry out terrorist acts on the territory of Belarus. Karpovych, a representative of the power bloc of the Lukashenko regime, stated that the members of this formation recruited, trained and armed so-called terrorists, as well as engaged in the financing of terrorist activities.
These accusations are actually part of a larger political game aimed at discrediting and neutralizing the forces supporting the struggle for freedom in Belarus and Ukraine. Such actions only emphasize the fear of the Belarusian authorities before the activity of Belarusian volunteers who stood up to defend Ukraine.
Kalinovsky regiment: a symbol of the struggle for freedom
The Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment, founded in March 2022, unites Belarusian volunteers fighting for Ukraine’s independence from Russian aggression. This military formation has become a symbol of resistance for both Ukrainians and Belarusians who seek freedom. At the end of March 2024, the regiment called on Belarusians all over the world to mobilize for the achievement of an independent Belarus and a peaceful Ukraine.
In the context of modern challenges, the recognition of the regiment as terrorists only emphasizes the importance of their struggle. The Belarusian people, trying to free themselves from autocracy, need support and international solidarity.
