Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev made new aggressive statements, calling for the creation of a public database of individuals he describes as “enemies of Russia.” According to him, these are people who support missile strikes on Russian territory or advocate for the killing of Russian citizens, repotred TASS.
Known for his belligerent rhetoric, Medvedev highlighted that Western politicians, such as Boris Johnson and Josep Borrell, have recently called for attacks on Russia using NATO resources. In response, Medvedev stressed that Russia must be prepared for retaliation.
“It doesn’t matter when the punishment will come, what’s important is its inevitability,” he wrote in a message on Telegram. He added that anyone calling for violence against Russia should live in fear, hinting at potential persecution of such individuals.
Medvedev also floated the idea of creating an open database containing personal information of those Russia considers its enemies for “practical purposes.”
Additionally, Medvedev urged Russians to take active measures against the West. In June, he stated that every Russian citizen should try to inflict maximum damage on countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia. He called on Russians to attack the economies, institutions, and leaders of these countries, emphasizing that there should be “no rules” in dealing with enemies.
