The Russian Foreign Ministry has said it does not rule out talks with US diplomats in the coming days. This was announced by the Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on the recent talks between the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia. She noted that contacts with US representatives are possible in the near future, AFP reports.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he is planning a conversation with Vladimir Putin, probably as early as this week. According to him, the main goal is to discuss the 30-day ceasefire proposal that Kyiv accepted after the Jeddah talks. Trump also said he was considering a new meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington.
Earlier it became known that the United States and Ukraine had reached an agreement on a temporary ceasefire for 30 days. In exchange, Washington resumes security assistance to Kyiv and cancels the pause in intelligence sharing. However, the implementation of this agreement depends on whether Russia agrees to similar conditions.
All eyes are now on the Kremlin, as there has been no official response from Russia. It is expected that the situation may become clearer after possible talks between Moscow and Washington, as well as Trump’s planned conversation with Putin. These decisions could significantly affect the further course of the war.
