NATO’s international exercise Combined Resolve XXI, organised by the US Army in Europe, has started in Germany. This year’s exercises are taking place at a training ground in southeastern Germany, where more than 4,000 soldiers from 16 NATO member states and associated countries are taking part in joint military training.
According to the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence on 21 January, the exercise is taking place at the Joint International Training Centre in Hohenfels. The main purpose of the exercise is to prepare the military for joint operations in cooperation with allied units and to improve cooperation between the armies of NATO member states.
Combined Resolve XXI is important for strengthening NATO’s defence capabilities, as well as for developing tactical cooperation between different Allied forces. The exercises also contribute to improving the combat readiness of the armies of the participating countries in the face of modern security challenges.
