A shooting took place in the Canadian city of Toronto near a bar in the Scarborough neighbourhood. An armed man wearing a black balaclava opened fire on patrons, wounding at least 12 people, CNN reports.

According to the police, four of the victims are in stable condition, but information about the condition of the others is still unknown. The attacker fled the crime scene in a silver car, and is being searched for.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said that all necessary resources have been mobilised to investigate the incident. “I am deeply concerned about reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough,” she wrote on social media platform X.
