On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump publicly criticised some of his supporters who, according to him, believed the “Democrats’ lies” about his alleged involvement in the case of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“Their new scam is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein hoax, and my former supporters fell for this crap,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
He accused the Democratic Party of funding information attacks aimed at discrediting his political legacy.

Trump said that those who were concerned about the Epstein scandal were diverting attention from his achievements as president, particularly in the areas of the economy, migration and international relations.
“I’ve achieved more in 6 months than any president in our history, and all these wimps are talking about is the Epstein hoax,” he said.

The harsh rhetoric came amid a new round of media discussions about the list of public figures associated with Epstein.
Earlier, new leaks linking Trump to the events surrounding the Epstein estate appeared in the media, which again drew attention to the long-running case.

After the post was published, a number of conservative commentators, including Elon Musk, also criticised Trump for his emotional statements and attempts to distance himself from uncomfortable issues instead of explaining his position openly.
