US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that peace would soon be concluded between Israel and Iran, and emphasised his personal involvement in this process. TheJerusalem Post reports this with reference to Trump’s post on his social network Truth Social.

“Iran and Israel must make a deal – and they will, just like India and Pakistan did,” Trump wrote, adding that he was using US trade as a leverage tool to persuade the parties to come to common sense.

According to him, there are a lot of calls and meetings, and although his role does not receive the attention it deserves, he is convinced that “people understand everything”.

“We will also soon have peace between Israel and Iran! There are a lot of calls and meetings now. I do a lot, but I never get the praise I deserve for it, but that’s okay. People understand. Let’s make the Middle East great again!” Trump said.

In addition to the Middle East, the US president mentioned his contribution to averting a war between Serbia and Kosovo, as well as mediation in the conflict between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile dam.

At the same time, Trump criticised his predecessor, Joe Biden, accusing him of undermining US diplomatic efforts. He promised to “fix” the consequences of the current administration’s policies.

The statement was made against the backdrop of the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, which has raised concerns about a possible large-scale clash in the Middle East.
