US Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who is involved in the negotiations with Ukraine, may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday, 13 March.
This was reported by Barack Ravid, a correspondent for the American portal Axios, on social media site X. According to him, sources confirmed Witkoff’s planned trip to Moscow at the end of the week, but the schedule may still change.
The journalist also published the US Special Representative’s preliminary schedule for this week. On Tuesday, he meets with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and on Wednesday he holds talks in Doha with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on the situation with hostages in Gaza. On Thursday, he is scheduled to meet with Putin in Moscow.
Bloomberg journalist Annmarie Gordern, citing her own sources, also reported on Witkoff’s plans to visit Russia earlier.
