US Special Representative to the President Steve Witkoff has arrived in Russia again, making his third visit in the last two months. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who confirmed the arrival of the American diplomat.
“Yes, I confirm that he did arrive in Russia,” Peskov told reporters.
The Kremlin is still silent about a possible meeting with Vladimir Putin:
“If it happens, we will inform you,” the spokesman added.
Vitkoff had previously visited Moscow twice to meet with Putin, visits that went largely unreported.
In addition, Peskov commented that the Kremlin is closely monitoring the negotiations between the US and Ukraine, particularly in the context of natural resources and geopolitical cooperation:
“The situation is developing rapidly. We analyse everything from the perspective of Russian interests.”
