In Petah Tikva, police have arrested a 40-year-old man suspected of committing extreme animal cruelty. According to 9tv, the suspect systematically slaughtered rabbits on his apartment balcony to use them as food for the snakes he kept at home.
During a search, officers discovered several dead rabbits on the balcony. Further investigation revealed that these animals were killed specifically to feed the large snakes bred by the man, a known serpent enthusiast.
Interrogations of the suspect are ongoing, and the police will decide whether to extend his detention based on the outcomes of the investigation.
