In the night of [date], Ukrainian Defense Forces executed a significant strike on the “Lipetsk” military airfield in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. The attack targeted warehouses containing guided aviation bombs and several other key objects around the airfield. The strike resulted in multiple sources of fire, a large blaze, and repeated detonations. The “Lipetsk” airfield is known to host Su-34, Su-35, and MiG-31 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Additionally, Ukrainian units carried out strikes on Russian surface-to-air missile (SAM) divisions in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast. The operation targeted three enemy radars: two from the S-350 systems and one from the S-300. It has been confirmed that one S-350 radar was accurately hit and destroyed. Information about the remaining two targets is still being clarified. All three enemy radars ceased operation following the strikes.
The operation involved the use of missile troops, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ drone units. The coordinated combat efforts of all components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces against key Russian military targets will continue.
